The UK adds Sri Lanka: In travel “Red List”

The United Kingdom added and seven countries including Sri Lanka to Red List destinations.

The official website of UK departments for transport said you should not travel to red list countries or territories.

The list of countries added to the Red List is Afghanistan, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Sudan, and Trinidad and Tobago. All changes to the lists will come into effect at 4 am on Tuesday 8 June.

The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office stated that Sri Lanka is currently on the Amber List and will move to the red list at 4 am on Tuesday 8th of June.
